[…] with your registered business name, trading address and state.These terms govern quotations, orders and supply of goods by SCN Traders Auto. Placing an order means you accept them. If you buy as a business, they apply to your business; if you buy as a consumer, nothing in them removes rights the law gives you.
A quotation states the part, its condition grade, the price and the estimated shipping cost. Quotations are valid for 7 days unless stated otherwise, and are subject to the part remaining available — much of what we quote is single-item stock held by third parties, and stock can be sold while a quote is open.
Where a quotation depends on information you supplied (VIN, casting number, photographs), it is given on the basis that the information is accurate.
An order is accepted when we confirm it in writing. Payment terms are agreed at the point of order. Goods remain our property until paid for in full; risk passes to you on delivery.
Prices exclude sales tax and shipping unless the quotation says otherwise.
Every part is supplied under one of six grades — NOS, NORS, REMAN, USED-A, USED-B or REPRO — defined on the How It Works page. The grade forms part of the contract. A used part supplied as USED-B is not defective because it shows the wear that grade describes.
Reproduction (REPRO) parts are manufactured to original specification by our ODM partners. They are not original factory parts and are not represented as such.
We verify fitment against factory catalogues and interchange data before dispatch, using the VIN, casting number or photographs you provide. That verification is only as good as the information given to us. If a vehicle has been modified, re-engined or previously repaired with non-original parts, fitment cannot be guaranteed from the VIN alone — tell us, and we will work from the part itself instead.
Delivery estimates are given in good faith and are not guaranteed times. Parcel items ordinarily arrive within 2–5 business days within the 48 contiguous states. Freight items are booked with an appointment where the delivery address requires one.
Inspect goods on arrival. Damage in transit must be reported to us within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs of the packaging and the part, so that a carrier claim can be made.
All parts carry a 90-day warranty from the date of delivery against failure and against being supplied other than as described. Remanufactured engines and transmissions carry 6 to 12 months depending on the unit and its application, as stated on the invoice.
The warranty does not cover: wear items consumed in normal use; damage caused by incorrect installation, overheating, contaminated fluids or lack of lubrication; parts used in competition; or parts modified after delivery. Warranty on a remanufactured driveline unit is conditional on it having been installed by a competent workshop and on the supporting system (cooling, fuel, electrical) being serviceable.
Our liability under warranty is limited, at our option, to repair, replacement or refund of the price paid for the part. We are not liable for labour, towing, vehicle downtime, loss of use, or other consequential loss. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Unfitted parts in their original packaging may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Contact the parts desk before shipping anything back so the return is logged against your order — unannounced returns can take considerably longer to process.
We pay return carriage where a part was mis-identified, supplied incorrectly or arrived damaged. On a change-of-mind return, return carriage is yours and a restocking charge may apply to freight items and to parts sourced to order from a third party.
Parts manufactured or remanufactured specifically for you, and parts fitted or attempted to be fitted, are not returnable except under warranty.
Where a remanufactured unit is supplied on an exchange basis, the core charge is refunded when a rebuildable core of the same type is returned within the period stated on the invoice. Cores that are cracked, seized beyond recovery, incomplete or of a different specification may be refused or refunded in part.
The content, layout, photography and code of this website belong to SCN Traders Auto. Manufacturer names, model names and part numbers are used solely to identify the vehicles and components that parts fit; their use does not imply that we are an authorised dealer of, or affiliated with, any vehicle manufacturer except where expressly stated.
These terms are governed by the law of the state in which SCN Traders Auto is established, and the courts of that state have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
